Assembly Mechanic
The Assembly Mechanic will perform assembly, maintenance and troubleshooting of high-quality packaging machinery in a manufacturing facility. The Assembly Mechanic will be required to have a hands-on approach to perform job duties, complete work accurately, meet deadlines and have effective communication skills. Experience with packaging machinery is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Building packaging machine sub- assemblies
Checking parts for proper manufacturing
Installing mechanical components and sub-assemblies into machines using diagrams and written specifications
Mounting auxiliary equipment to the machine
Correctly positioning parts and drill, tap and ream holes at designated points
Align and connect parts together with fasteners using hand and power tools
Setup and operate machine for testing purposes.
Strong customer service skills, a team-player attitude & regular and acceptable attendance are required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES INCLUDE:
2 - 3 years of industrial machinery maintenance experience is required.
The ability to read schematics and blueprints is required.
The ability to stand much of the working day
The ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
The ability to multi-task
We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a starting wage of $24.00 – $29.00 per hour. Benefits include Company paid employee Medical, Dental and Life Insurance, 401(k), Potential for annual profit-sharing bonus.
