What You will Do:
Second of three levels of Assemblers. Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Assembler performs various assigned duties of a somewhat diversified nature.
You will wear many hats, but a day in this role generally includes:
- Practice all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
- Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and drawings to produce fixtures and solid surfaces within tolerances and specifications.
- Plan an effective approach to work to ensure that each project is completed on time.
- Assemble fixtures and cabinetry with glue/clamps, dowels, screws, etc.
- Operate drill, table saw, chop saw, router, sanding equipment, stapler, case clamp and other power and hand tools.
- Install the appropriate hardware, such as hinges and handles, and order replacement materials when needed.
- Lay-up sheets of laminate. Post-laminate surfaces, as necessary.
- Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
- Match materials and grains to create a uniform appearance for all the matching units.
- Clean and repair all equipment necessary for your work, including handsaws, table saws, skill saws, and a variety of drills and sanding tools.
- Attend departmental meetings as required.
- Solve problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability You will Need:
- Able to read fixture drawings.
- Proficient with drill, table saw, chop saw, router, sanding equipment, stapler and other power and hand tools.
- Ability to measure dimensions and angles.
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Good arithmetic skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing workmanship.
- Ability to read.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.

Education and/or Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Less than one year of experience.
- At least three years of cabinet building and laminating experience.
