The Team:
The Personal Systems organization creates a full ecosystem of digital experiences through advancing leadership in computing, creating immersive experiences through peripherals, and expanding digital services.
Responsibilities:
HP is looking for a machine Learning Engineer Intern to build efficient, data-driven artificial intelligence systems that advance our predictive automation capabilities. The candidate should be highly skilled in statistics and programming, with the ability to confidently assess, analyze, and organize large amounts of data. The candidate should also be able to execute tests and optimize HP's machine learning models and algorithms.
1) Design and develop machine learning algorithms and deep learning applications and systems for HP.
2) Solve complex problems with multilayered data sets, and optimize existing machine learning libraries and frameworks.
3) Collaborate with data scientists, administrators, data analysts, data engineers, and data architects on production systems and applications.
4) Identify differences in data distribution that could potentially affect model performance in real-world applications.
5) Ensure algorithms generate accurate user recommendations.
6) Stay up to date with developments in the machine learning industry.
1) Impeccable analytical and problem-solving skills.
2) Extensive math and computer skills, with a deep understanding of probability, statistics, and algorithms.
3) In-depth knowledge of machine learning frameworks, like Keras or PyTorch.
4) Familiarity with data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
5) Excellent time management and organizational skills.
6) Desire to learn.
Education and Experience Required:
- 1st year of Master's program completed or PhD candidate
- Software - Python, Java, Scala and R
Preferred Majors:
- Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
