Fee-for-Service Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (HYBRID)

ARTS Rx is seeking a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist to join our multi-modal practice.

Position Description:

This is a HYBRID work position. The Licensed Creative Arts Therapist will provide creative arts therapy services to a caseload of individual clients REMOTELY and 2-4 weekly groups IN PERSON at partner sites across NYC and in Upstate NY.

This position will include facilitating groups in NYC: Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx and Upstate NY: Dutchess County for adolescent youth who have experienced self-harming thoughts or behaviors. Individual clients include children, adolescents, and adults (20’s-40’s) challenged with general anxiety/depression/trauma.

ARTS Rx is a group behavioral health practice with a demonstrated record of facilitating effective and quality oriented creative arts therapy services for the last 13 years since our inception in 2011. Our office is located in midtown Manhattan and we partner with various nonprofit agencies such as shelters, suicide prevention programs, domestic violence centers and foster care agencies throughout the 5 boroughs of NYC and Upstate NY. Upon our continued expansion, we have an opening for a Fee for Service Art Therapist position available.

ARTS Rx is the only NY LCAT Group Private Practice in Manhattan that is an in-network provider with a number of managed healthcare organizations for more than 80% of the population we serve. We service a total of 200 clients each week through our individual and group programming which means we provide a total of 7,680 behavioral health sessions each year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

LCAT/LP required

Strong clinical documentation required

Prior experience effectively collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong interest in incorporating evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, TF-CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness into creative arts therapy practice

At least 3-5 years post-grad experience required, preferably in an outpatient mental health clinic or group private practice setting.

Pay: Up to $75.00 per hour
