Position Overview:
We are working with a highly regarded client in the life sciences sector to fill a key role in their team. The Area Sales Manager - Northwest will be an integral part of our client's growth strategy, responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, establishing strong client relationships, and contributing to the expansion of their market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential leads and target industries.
- Utilize proven prospecting techniques, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking events.
- Collaborate closely with the client's sales and marketing teams to develop effective lead generation strategies.
- Initiate and nurture meaningful conversations with key decision-makers to understand their needs and challenges.
- Create and deliver compelling presentations that highlight the value proposition of the client's products and services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leads and interactions in the client's CRM system.
- Partner with the sales team to transition qualified leads and support revenue goals.
- Represent the client at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance their market presence.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated success in business development, lead generation, or sales within the life sciences, biotechnology, or related sectors (2-3 years of experience).
- Strong grasp of scientific concepts and terminology, enabling effective communication with researchers and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with adept negotiation abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team as well as work independently.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales tools.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
