Area Sales Manager, MV Utility

As Area Sales Manager, you will engage in customer facing implementation of aggressive measures to achieve sales to ELIP (Electrification Installation Products) Medium Voltage (MV) Utility customers, focused growth on premier products in the assigned geography. You will also ensure individual BU sales targets are met or exceeded and that net margin maximizes profits within the geography

Your responsibilities
- Assess Performance with annual performance reviews for all ELIP MV Utility sales people and create development plan for all employees in geography including technical and professional training.
- Manage balanced sales scorecard and track performances for various BU achieving the expectations of the geography.
- Coach sales resources to make winning decisions, plan better, and effectively allocate resources based on customer needs and potential for growth.
- Perform Monthly Review of local performance of all ELIP MV Utility Direct/Distributor served customers and Rep companies, as well as Quarterly plan review with Top 10 ELIP MV Utility customers.
- Serve as escalation point on ELIP MV Utility commercial decisions.
- Be responsible for top local accounts relationship & results and implement the regional ELIP MV Utility strategy within the geography.
- Collaborate with RVP and DSM to measure conversions and pipeline in SFDC, working in tandem in Channel organization.
- Measure/monitor electrical distributor and customer conversions, pipeline progression and product mix within ELIP MV Utility segment.
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or related technical field / advanced degree desirable.
- Minimum 3 years related experience.
- Sales experience of a $5M + business desired.
- Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills.
- Senior Account Management experience desired.
- Understanding and experience with full portfolio of ELIP MV products and services (including power distribution one-line and installation products).
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
