JX Truck Center - Champaign is a subsidiary of JX Enterprises, Inc. We have 25 dealerships in 4 states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. As of this posting, the Champaign dealership has approximately 24 employees in all of their departments.
Currently, JX Enterprises, Inc. employs approximately 1,250 people.
Job Overview:
As an Area Commercial Equipment Sales Executive, your primary responsibility is to promote and sell class 5 - class 8 semi-trucks to potential clients. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, providing product information, and effectively communicating the features and benefits of the trucks offered by the company. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, negotiating deals, and achieving sales targets. This is a Monday - Friday, first shift position.
Pay: $65,000 - $200,000 per year (UNCAPPED Commission Program and Volume Bonuses)
Realistic First Year Earning Potential: $65,000 - $75,000 (no cap in your commissions/volume bonuses. We provide you with a floor; we don't give you a ceiling.)
Shift: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday - no Saturdays)
Working Arrangement: On-site (100%)
Travel Required: Yes (how much is TBD)

Interview process: 2-3 interviews at the most (depending on if a recruiter is asked to conduct a phone interview or not).
Assessment: A Berke Assessment will be required before your first interview with the hiring manager. Time to take the assessment: 50-60 minutes

Time Frame to Fill: As soon as we find the right candidate for the job, and someone that will fit in with our Bloomington or Champaign team.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Understand customer needs and preferences to provide tailored solutions.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Sales and Marketing:
  • Actively prospect and generate new leads through various channels.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase truck features and benefits.

Product Knowledge:
  • Stay updated on the latest truck models, features, and industry trends.
  • Provide detailed and accurate information about the trucks to customers.
  • Conduct training sessions for customers on the operation and maintenance of the trucks.

Negotiation and Closing:
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Prepare and present sales contracts, ensuring all terms are clearly defined.
  • Close sales deals and facilitate the delivery process.

Market Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
  • Stay informed about competitors and market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and communications.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales activities, progress, and challenges.

Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the sales team, service department, and other relevant departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide feedback to the management team on customer needs and market trends.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience in truck sales or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of trucks, their features, and the transportation industry.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor degree preferred
  • Ability to hold technical conversations with independent owner/operators, business owners, transportation managers and municipality officials.
  • Intermediate experience with Google products (Sheets, Docs, etc.) preferred
  • Mechanical understanding enough to learn specifications of complex, customizable equipment.
  • CDL required, or willingness and ability to obtain.

The candidate may be based out of our Bloomington or Champaign, IL dealerships. Central IL will be their territory so there will be some travel involved to potential customers and our Central IL dealerships.
The$5,000sign-on bonus will be paid out in two equal installments. The first installment ($2,500gross) will be paid out after your 90 day anniversary and the second installment ($2,500gross) will be paid out after your 180 day anniversary. No goals, KPIs, or metrics will need to be achieved.
