Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Full-time Install Technician for our Tow Truck/Heavy Equipment shop, Worldwide Equipment Sales of Illinois in Rockdale, Illinois. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong technical skills and a passion for the auto industry. As an Install Technician, you will be responsible for performing skilled labor and mechanical work on heavy equipment and tow trucks, ensuring that all installations are completed accurately and efficiently. This is an individual contributor role where you will have the opportunity to work independently while also being a valuable member of our team.
Responsibilities:
- Install and assemble components and systems on heavy equipment and tow trucks according to manufacturer specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during installations
- Conduct quality checks and ensure that all installations are completed accurately and to the highest standards
- Keep detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and labor hours
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding installation progress and any concerns or issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in heavy equipment or tow truck installation is beneficial
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with tools and equipment
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
- Ability to read and understand technical information
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Time management skills and ability to work independently
