About the Position
The Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is responsible for providing DHRM Offices with operationally and fiscally effective solutions that drives optimal mission effectiveness. OCIO facilitates the evaluation of available technology against business needs to create technologically advanced systems and efficient infrastructure capabilities that enable timely delivery of accurate and consistent employment information throughout the Commonwealth. OCIO operates, maintains, and develops statewide information systems to support business processes that meet customer expectations.
The office of OCIO is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Application/Project Analyst. A DHRM project analyst is responsible for the management and development of new projects once data collection is completed and research and analysis are executed. Specifically, the Application/Project Analyst is responsible for analyzing and coordinating the schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget of a product or service on a per project basis. The incumbent of this position will perform active research to design new projects and to prepare and present new ideas to improve current processes which impact the business; will lead and guide the work of technical staff; and may serve as a point of contact for the client or customer.
Minimum Qualifications
• A work history demonstrating considerable data analysis experience and considerable IT project management experience on multiple projects.
• Experience demonstrating considerable analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Considerable experience demonstrating research, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Experience demonstrating the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize competing task/projects in a deadline driven environment.
• Work experience demonstrating an understanding of computer technology and Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Considerations
• Possession of a formal Project Management certification.
• A work history demonstrating extensive IT project management experience.
