Introduction
The DET Bureau of Application Services, Financial Solutions section is hiring for an Application Developer!
This position will have the option of working remotely upon agreement of the supervisor but will be asked to come into the office periodically. This schedule may change based on operational needs and organizational requirements.

Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Financial Solutions Supervisor, in the Division of Enterprise Technology (DET), this position is responsible for providing an advanced level of technical support for planning, development, implementation and administration of applications and support services that have statewide impact. This includes the research, standardization, deployment, administration, and support of all relative tools associated with a particular application, customer or client.

Salary Information
Starting hourly rate for the IS Systems Development Services Specialist position will be between $33.49- $50.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. A 12-month probationary period may be required. This classification is assigned to pay schedule/range 07-33. Current State employees will be compensated in accordance with the current State Compensation Plan.
Job Details
Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct fingerprinting and/or background checks on applicants prior to selection. DOA does not sponsor work visas. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.
Certain positions within this Department may allow remote/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. This topic and any remote work flexibility that may be available will be discussed in more detail in the interview process.
Qualifications
Minimally qualified candidates will have experience with the following:
  • Developing and maintaining NET FrameworkCore web applications.
  • Developing and maintaining SQL Server databases.
In addition, well qualified candidates will have experience in:
  • Agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum)
  • DevOps tools and a general understanding of DevOps concepts (e.g., Azure)
  • SQL Server Integration Services
  • Telerik Kendo UI and Reports
