Application Developer

Purpose:
As an Application Developer at Jayco, you'll play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our business needs and the power of technology. You will also play a key role in Jayco's digital transformation through targeted application development. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom applications to streamline our operations, specifically focusing on enhancing our shop floor operations.
Essential Functions

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design and develop custom applications tailored to our Dynamics AX ERP system, focusing on shop floor operations, including production management, quality control, data acquisition, and inventory tracking.
• Leverage PowerApps to create low-code/no-code solutions for rapid prototyping and addressing immediate shop floor needs.
• Integrate new applications with existing systems and ensure seamless data flow.
• Develop user interfaces that are intuitive and user-friendly for shop floor personnel.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure application functionality and performance.
• Document application functionality and processes for future reference and maintenance.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest Dynamics AX advancements, PowerApps capabilities, and industry best practices.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and application effectiveness.

Required Experience/Knowledge

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience developing applications in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in application development using MS Visual Studio, .NET, JAVA, Python or other object-oriented languages.
• Experience with PowerApps and low-code/no-code development methodologies.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and their application in project management.
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with user interface design and development using relevant tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality assurance.
