DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Accounts Payable Supervisor is a full-time position, located at the Houston corporate office, reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Manager. The primary function of this position is to supervise and guide the day-to-day operational activities of a virtual accounts payable team - currently based in Manila- supporting our Refinery Operation. This role must have a leadership, self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented candidate. The candidate will generally have daily communication with employees and vendors, so conducting themselves in a professional manner is a requirement. The candidate must display availability to move in a fast-paced environment, have integrity and a desire for professional growth.
- Review expenditure expense reports for proper authorization and precision
- Reform and execute operations and processes.
- Ensure accuracy in daily invoices and meet time limits.
- Serve as contact for resolving complicated billing systems.
- Build solid relationships across all units at various accounting levels.
- Ascertain the accuracy of accounts payable standard files and the accounts payable integrations to the general records.
- Participate in creation and interpretation of enhanced finance related methods to ensure consistency with accounts payable prerequisites.
- Organize innumerably month-end & annual closings and execute special analysis tasks and other financial related obligations with the assistance of the organization’s financial network.
- Ensure that the company’s invoices are precisely administered.
- Ensuring compliance with Company Financial Standards and Procedures and Sarbanes Oxley Controls and support efficient audit reviews of Process from Internal and External audit.
- Monitoring KPIs to measure actual data quality and process effectiveness.
- Work closely with Treasury Manager and Contractors & Procurement to optimize working capital.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.

- Rigidly adhere to safe work practices/procedures set forth by regulating authorities and the company and never compromise the safety of any personnel, company, or contractor
Training:
The candidate will be required to complete any assigned training necessary to perform essential job duties.
Education and/or Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in AP process required.
- 3-5 years leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Finance preferred.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Accounting experience in a Refinery environment is preferred.
- SAP experience is required.
- Experience in working with overseas Service Centers is preferred.
- Accounting software programs experience preferred.
- Understanding of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping required
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications.
