Karat® by Lollicup™ is currently seeking an expierenced QC Supervsor to join our team in Rockwall, TX. We are looking for someone who is energized and inspired by the possibility of being part of this exciting opportunity
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for directing and supervising a team of Quality Control Technicians involved in inspection and quality control procedures regarding raw material, in-process material, and finished goods products to assure that quality control standards and specifications are followed.
- Plan and assign work areas of QC Technicians.
- Develop and/or adapt inspection equipment to meet quality control standards and discuss/suggest process improvements regarding procedures, standards, and equipment to facilitate work and maintain high inspection standards and protocols.
- Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding the root cause of non-conformance or individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices.
- Responsible for compilation and maintenance of inspection reports and records.
- Investigate and determine the root cause for the non-conformance of faulty work and consult and advise production supervisors as to corrective measures.
- Maintain discipline, morale, and harmonious relations among subordinates.
- Investigate and adjust personnel problems within the area of responsibility. Effectively recommend hiring, promotions, wage adjustments, and terminations.
- Perform quality audits.
- Disposition of rejected material.
- Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control quality functions.
- Supervise Quality Control Technicians to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
- Responsible for the personnel functions of the Quality Technicians including directions, assignment of work, development, and training, disciplinary action, termination, maintenance of all personnel records, management of work schedule, and delegation/follow-up of tasks.
- Receive and provide feedback to staff on observations leading to improved adherence to GMP standards.
- Coach and develop area personnel regarding concerns or deficiencies.
- Report area personnel concerns or deficiencies to area management immediately.
- Make recommendations for remedial actions to resolve audit observations and other non-compliance issues or deficiencies.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Problem Solving/Analysis.
- Supervisor/management experience.
- Working knowledge/experience with ISO 9001 standards.
- Read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
- Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in real-time situations.
- Must be able to understand instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, test procedures, and procedure manuals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Must have explicit attention to detail
- Ability to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions
- Ability to work with a team and collaborate with others
- Strong leadership/supervisory skills
- Strong understanding of Quality Systems and/or regulated training requirements
EDUCATION / TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience capacity.
- Basic math skills

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS ARE A MUST PLUS
- HACCP Certified.
- GMP Certified

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
