Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Anesthesia Technician II is to assist licensed anesthesia providers, in the acquisition, preparation and application of equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. The AT 2 prepares, and cleans patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia. The tasks of the AT II, Include but are not limited to providing support for anesthesia cases by assisting in the preparation of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia. The AT II preforms first level trouble shooting, and maintenance of anesthesia delivery systems. The AT II Sterilizes, disinfects anesthesia equipment, orders supplies, and maintains stock in all anesthesia machines, and the AWS. Under the direct supervision of the circulating RN, assist with direct and indirect patient care activities. The tasks may include, but are not limited to cleaning the OR suites, and obtaining and putting away supplies and equipment. The AT II also assists in the delivery of patient care by transporting patients, moving and positioning help, prepping patients, transport specimens, transporting of blood products.
Qualifications
Minimum
- One year of Anesthesia Technician 1 experience or equivalent anesthesia experience required.
- Must complete Anesthesia Tech II curriculum within one year of hire or transfer to position.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR) required.
Pay Range
$36.31- $44.61 /hour
