Location: Downey, CA
Shift: Variable shifts: 10:00pm - 6:30am
Facility Notes:
Must have at least 2 years exp in the field. Working knowledge of Anesthesia department procedures, principles of asepsis and sterile technique. Able to demonstrate manual dexterity and mechanical ability. Must be flexiable with schedule. Part time assignment. Assignment will be for 3 months.
The Weeks will rotate. This is the template if the CWR begins Jan 29th : Week 1( Monday - Sunday) Work Wednesday 8 hours 10pm-6:30a, Friday 8 hours 10pm-6:30a, Saturday 8 hours 10pm-6:30a, Sunday 4 hours 10pm-2:00a, Week 2 (Monday - Sunday) Work Thursday 8 hours 10pm-6:30a, Sunday 4 hours 10pm-2:00a.
Qualifications
Graduate of an ASATT-approved program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree OR a minimum of two (2) years of experience, as a Certified Anesthesia Technician
High School Diploma
Certified with the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT), as a Technologist or Technician
Valid BLS Provider Card
Able to demonstrate knowledge and skill in the use of anesthesia equipment, including trouble shooting
Working knowledge of Anesthesia department procedures
Knowledge of principles of asepsis
Demonstrated ability to perform the duties and responsibilities required of a Certified Anesthesia Technician
Able to demonstrate manual dexterity and mechanical ability
Must be able to lift 45 lbs equipment from an overhead position on a daily basis
Must be able to stand or walk continuously
Must be able to exercise judgment and work efficiently and competently with minimal supervisionUtilizes effective communication strategies, which result in intended outcomes
Keyboarding skills Upon training, must be able to use appropriate computer software applications, including the Health Connect system
