Job Description
Position Summary This position will be responsible for execution of method comparison, improvement, validation for the Pasadena Quality Control laboratory. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of a variety of analytical techniques, strong communication skills and an ability to interact and collaborate with interdisciplinary global teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize and validate analytical methods
- Support the Pasadena QC lab by working with the laboratory manager, supervisor, lead chemist, lab coordinators, and analysts
- Conduct laboratory procedures in compliance with laboratory, site and corporate health, safety and environmental policies and maintain a safe laboratory environment
- Coordinate round-robin studies and other validation / verification initiatives with manufacturing sites and perform data analysis
- Author, review and update standard operating procedures, as needed
- Set and manage platform for method implementation and transfer
- Validation of new instrumentation
- Support the lead chemist on site projects
- Monitor processes and products, and liaison with QC to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and standardization
- Helping startup the TMA-HP and HMAPS lab, instrumentation, training, and procedures.
- Creating new material for LIMS and SAP
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expert in many analytical techniques including ICP, GC, and wet chemistry
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong commitment to safety
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
