Role Description:
Park Hill is seeking an individual with strong analytical and writing skills, who takes initiative, has great attention to detail, works well under pressure, and has the ability to work well both independently and within teams. The private placement process uniquely develops both the quantitative and qualitative skills required at more advanced levels across the financial spectrum.
Park Hill’s Alternative Credit and Hedge Fund Group offers analysts the chance to engage directly in advising “best in breed” Private Credit and hedge funds on all aspects of the capital raise – including advisory work, market positioning and ultimately raising capital from the top institutional investors across the globe.
Candidates for the position must possess interest in the alternative asset industry - specifically Private Credit and hedge funds - as well as at least 1-2 years prior experience in finance. Ideal candidates have a background in investment banking or similar fields and currently hold one or more of the Series 79, Series 7 and Series 63 security license. The job requires management of multiple projects often under time constraints/deadlines, interaction and constant communication with clients, and great attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Analysts are expected to play an important role in all aspects of the origination effort – including sourcing and performing intensive due diligence on a variety of Private Credit and hedge fund strategies.
Additional responsibilities include assisting in various research projects, managing and maintaining all external Park Hill marketing materials, budget forecasting and preparing internal presentations and reports.
Qualifications:
PJT Partners seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition, qualified candidates will possess the following:
- Superior academic achievement
- Degrees in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred, but not required
- Strong analytical skills, knowledge of financial modeling and leveraged buyout analysis
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and to handle multiple projects at a time
- A self-starter, but with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong work ethic; genuine passion for excellence; results-oriented
- Personal and professional integrity of the highest order
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Expected annualized base salary of $120,000 to $150,000.
This range represents the low and high ends of the expected annualized base salary for this position. The specific base salary received by any employee will be informed by a number of factors, including but not limited to, role level and scope, location, candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills and experience.
Base salary is one component of PJT Partners’ compensation structure. In addition to base salary, PJT Partners’ compensation structure may include additional rewards, incentives, and benefits, including but not limited to, a discretionary bonus component.
