The Application Support Analyst’s role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, gaming, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Business Systems Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.
The position involves analysis and presentation of information to business owners, including marketing, finance, slot operations, and human resources. It requires proficiency with developing requirements documents, knowledge of the business and strong communication skills. The position will also be responsible for the QA of any new or changes to the applications before they are released and deployed into the Production environment.
- Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
- Conduct interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
- Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.
- Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.
- Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with technical team and business owners to analyze information needs and functional requirements to deliver an effective solution.
- Develop and document enterprise wide requirements and translate them into technical specifications

- Analyzes and interprets test data, maintains test records and documents.
- Tests application software modifications to ensure accuracy of changes.
- Works with key users to resolve application software problems and issues.
- Works with project team members to design, test and install application software modifications.
- Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
- Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values.
- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent training and experience is required.
- At least seven years’ equivalent work experience in a similar position.
- 5-8 years related experience as business analyst or similar position.
- Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into operational requirements.
- Project management skills a definite asset.
- Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Casino gaming and/or hospitality background or experience required
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in Casino Gaming Systems Applications such as Bally CMP, SDS, or Business Intelligence systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Outlook)
