Equipment Operation:
- Operate and monitor the AMF filling machine to ensure accurate and efficient filling of products into containers.
- Set up and adjust the machine parameters, including fill levels, speeds, and controls, according to product specifications.
- Monitor the equipment's performance, making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal production efficiency.
- Operating forklift and Pallet jack.
- Assembling packaging material to be packed.
- Loading outbound trucks.
- All other duties assigned.
Quality Control:
- Conduct frequent quality checks on the filled products to ensure they meet established standards for weight, volume, and visual appearance.
- Address and rectify any deviations from quality standards promptly to prevent production of subpar products.
- Collaborate with quality control personnel to perform routine checks and ensure adherence to quality assurance protocols.
- Follow all HACCP and SQF policies as outlined by Valley Milk LLC.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, output quantities, and any adjustments made during the process.
- Complete production reports and documentation to facilitate tracking of productivity, efficiency, and quality metrics.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment for oneself and colleagues.
- Follow established sanitation procedures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the production area.
- Comply with company policies, regulations, and guidelines related to food safety and manufacturing practices.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with fellow operators, supervisors, and support staff to achieve production goals and resolve any operational challenges.
- Communicate any issues or concerns related to equipment, production, or quality to the appropriate personnel.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements within the filling operation.
- Participate in discussions and initiatives aimed at optimizing production processes and minimizing waste.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Previous experience operating and maintaining filling machinery in a food or beverage manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment issues.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate quality checks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and food safety standards.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing production demands.
