Provide expertise to include contingencies for war operations, contingency operations other than war, Humanitarian and Natural disaster relief (FEMA) exercises or plans to support the daily battle rhythm of HQ AMC Operations Center. Track logistics issues across Combatant Commands (COCOMs)/Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs), provide background data to G3 senior leaders in preparation for the Commanding General's (GG) Operational Readiness Update (ORU). Synchronize and integrate AMC-wide input for the various coordination meetings and facilitate the briefings via Secure Video Teleconference (SVTC). Provide input for the daily/weekly/monthly updates for HQAMC CG and Staff to support HQDA, Chief of Staff, Army, and to prepare G3 senior leader read-ahead(s) for meetings and provide input to placemats that track significant logistics and contracting issues in support of Combatant Commanders.
- Prepare, recommend, and recommend changes to and release of correspondence for use by General Officer, Director, or Executive Officer of an organization.
- Explain/recommend plans of actions, identify issues, gathers relevant data, conducts meetings to adjudicate findings and inputs data necessary to generate COOPs.
- Reviews and approve work products for technical accuracy, clarity, thoroughness, and sensitivity of notification.
- Reviews incoming and outgoing requirements, provides status updates, and be prepared to brief the status to the HQAMC senior leadership and the command.
- Attended daily Combatant Command mission support meetings (as required by situation).
- Monitor and provide inputs to the AMC Knowledge Management Portal (AKMP).
- Reviewed and analyzed Chief of Staff of the Army (CSA), ACOM, and AMC Major Subordinate Command (MSC) briefings, Situation Reports (SITREPs), AMC Command Operating Picture (COP) reports and numerous other Command Briefings. Maintained Situational Awareness (SA) of external EXSUMs and reviewed AMC General Officer (GO)/Senior Executive Service (SES)/Counsel of Colonels (COC) responses and Command Briefings concerning AMC Enterprise missions, tasks, and equity concerns.
BS/BA degree plus 12 years of relevant experience.
Must have advanced level oral and written communications skill based on the Army's Military Decision Making Process.
Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and EXCEL).
Must have tactical, operational, and strategic operational experience in Army Training, Readiness, Operations Other than War and in full spectrum Operations (military Officer experience of senior level MAJ, LTC or COL.) (HQAMC operates at all three levels, however strategic and operational experience are critical requirements.)
