Job description

Summary: Supervises all front house personnel during food service and during the Manager's days off or absence. Coordinates activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service to patrons by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following and other duties as assigned.
• Maintains a high level of customer service and regularly engages in conversations with patrons to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Handles all monies and ensures that the safe balances consistently on a daily basis.
• Trains and directs cashiers in ringing up food and beverage purchases.
• Responsible for assigning drawers to cashiers and holds staff accountable for their money and transactions.
• Responsible for Aloha reports, function and maintenance.
• Responsible for adherence of all current sanitation requirements.
• Manages staff daily on dining room procedures.
• Supervises proper cleaning and maintenance of dining room and all public areas of facility, including bathrooms.
• Ensures that dining area is clean and prepared for next day service.
• Greets guests and explains food ordering process for the venue.
• Handles complaints of patrons.
• Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service to patrons.
• Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and requisitions dining room supplies for tables and serving stations and assures side work and stocking is complete.
• Assists in training dining room employees.
• Assists personally or through subordinates with the stocking, cleanliness and maintenance of the scramble area.
• Provides a guest experience that exceeds the guest's expectations.
• Supports TSG Ski & Golf sustainability initiatives.
• Adheres to TSG Ski & Golf policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of and adheres to Skier Responsibility Code and Colorado Skier Safety Act.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Assists in supervision of 3-12 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include scheduling and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems in concert with facility Manager.

Education and/or Experience:
Must have six months to one year of related experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Exchange/Outlook Internet software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Familiar with restaurant point-of-sale technology.
Other Qualifications:
• Must be TIPS trained.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights.
• Must be able to work effectively at altitude of 10,000 ft or above.
• Must be able to function effectively in inclement weather conditions.
• Complete understanding of all front of the house equipment.
• Basic understanding of POS system.

The employee is occasionally required to stand and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be an intermediate skier and function effectively at 10,000 feet above sea level.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Wage range $30.00 hr or 10 month salary starting at $65K DOE
