```Duties```
- Conduct allergy testing, including skin prick tests and patch tests
- Administer allergy shots and immunotherapy treatments
- Evaluate patient symptoms, medical history, and test results to diagnose allergies
- Develop personalized treatment plans for patients based on their specific allergies
- Educate patients on allergy management techniques and strategies
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for
- Mixes vials for current allergy patients and gives scheduled injections patients
- Orders allergen supplies for the Allergy Department
- Keeps Allergy test sets current.
- Ensure a physician is on premises at all times during the operation of the Allergy Clinic.
- Updates or populates patient chart with relevant medical data; documents in the electronic Medical
- Verify insurance benefits prior to allergy testing and add benefits to EMR.
- Schedules and conducts allergy testing ordered by physicians; schedules ongoing immunotherapy, as
required.
- Create Allergy Test sets and monitor test sets for expiration dates
- Keep allergy Department neat and tidy with patient safety in mind.
- Keep ER kit up to date.
- Notify the Clinical Manager of any problems with patient care, equipment, or supplies in the clinic.
```Qualifications```
- Certification as an Allergy Specialist or similar credential preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in performing vital signs assessments and basic life support techniques
- Experience with coding and billing for allergy services is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members
- Ability to administer medications, including injections and inhalation therapies
