Overview
The Airport Maintenance Foreman is responsible for overseeing and assisting subordinates in all preventative and reactive maintenance in the terminal, International Drive, and tenant facilities. They will direct workflow and assign work order assignments for direct reports and identify and make recommendations for personnel development, training, and discipline. They will also serve as the primary point of contact and accountability for Quick Turn Around facility and tenants, including maintenance of all systems, programs, processes, and facilities.
Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance work orders with entire staff
• Prioritize, assign, and direct work orders to employees based on the operational needs of the airport priority of the work
• Supervise staff through appropriate delegation
• Meet regularly with staff to monitor special projects, work performance, and audit results
• Monitor the performance of staff to ensure work is performed efficiently, safely, and to high standards
• Monitor materials and supplies and supervise resource allocations to maintain inventory and ensure adequate resources are available
• Coordinate work with other departments or outside agencies when work may impact tenants or passengers
• Provide initial and recurrent training to staff and provide recommendations for work evaluations or disciplinary action
• Administer and enter complete and accurate work order information in Maximo system and monitor asset management programs
• Administer and direct preventative maintenance programs for assets
• Establish work priorities to meet deadlines and review documentation
• Complete injury/accident reports, time detail edits, etc.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain systems related to car wash, fuel dispensary, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and repairs of all facilities in the QTA facility
• Serve as primary point of contact for tenant coordination
• Manage inventory of supplies and maintain operational efficiency of facility
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain systems in all airport facilities, including electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and basic repairs
• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Requires an Associate's Degree (AA/AS) or 2-year technical certificate
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience
• Education requirement can be substituted with 3-4 years of extensive related field experience
• Certifications related to equipment repair and related safety certifications can also be sued to substitute education requirements
• Supervisory experience preferred
• A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating
Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
