Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
Aircraft Mechanics I must have a level of experience to troubleshoot, remove, install and repair electrical and avionic components of the E-2C aircraft required to meet the assigned missions. Makes repairs to aircraft and follows direction of higher graded workers. The Aircraft Mechanic I will troubleshoot malfunctions in flight controls, anti-icing, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. This worker reads and interprets manufacture and aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Work involves replacing or repairing worn or damaged components using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment; Job duties require that this mechanic adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft. Supervises the jacking and towing of aircraft, enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily. May require specialization in electric and avionics systems.
What You'll Do:
Performs requirements in accordance with the procedures established in the PWS. Performs diagnosis and corrective actions, disassembles, inspects, evaluates, and accomplishes necessary repairs, lays out work according to technical instructions and technical directives. Determines what repairs, modifications, and part replacements are required. May be required to verify work performed by another for which he/she is qualified to perform.
Key Responsibilities:
Must be knowledgeable of technical directives, NAMP programs, and shall be knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures.
Aircraft Mechanic I shall have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy and ensure adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
Possess a high degree of expertise in the control and coordination of aircraft maintenance.
Thorough working knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications.
Working understanding of the aircraft and aircraft systems.
Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance support for assigned E-2C aircraft.
Performs inspection, disassembly, repair, servicing, TD compliance, modification, assembly, surface finish removal, corrosion control, preservation/de-preservation services.
Aircraft maintenance action documentation via logs, records, forms, and electronic means
Troubleshoot malfunctions in flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, engines, auxiliary power unit, and dynamic component systems.
Use hand tools, power tools, machines, specific and general aviation test measurement, and diagnostic equipment.
Read and interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, military technical manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, blueprints, manufacturers’ drawings, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Support Equipment (SE) operation and inspections

General aircraft maintenance
Perform general housekeeping and organization of workstation(s), shop(s), maintenance facility to provide a clean, safe, and FOD free environment.
Perform shift work and/or overtime as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Avionics Aviation Electronics Technician (AT) “A” School or equivalent
Must be able to qualify as E-2C Avionics Collateral Duty Inspector
Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms, and perform maintenance on top of and underneath aircraft.
Must be able to use hand and power tools.
Must have dexterity to handle small parts.
Must be eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC)
Other Requirements:
Must be able to become eligible for a Secret Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data system.
Desired Qualifications:
Three or more years’ experience performing Avionics maintenance.
Three or more years aircraft maintenance experience
Previously certified Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) for Avionics Systems

The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
