Job Description
The C4ISR market segment is looking for an emerging technical leader to serve as Deputy Chief Engineer for the AIR6502 Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (MRGBAD) program. The AIR6502 Deputy Chief Engineer will support the Chief Engineer in the overall execution of the FMS components of the AIR6502 proposal, subsequent Risk Reduction Activities and program execution, upon award.
The AIR6502 Deputy Chief Engineer will be responsible for the following:
• Act as a point of contact for day-to-day execution of Engineering and Technology (E&T) aspects on the AIR6502 program
• Act as primary technical interface for some US military Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers as well as International team members and stakeholders
• Ensure that the program's processes/procedures are defined in compliance with RMS policies, processes, and procedures, and contract requirements and followed
• Act as liaison between the C6ISR team and the AIR6502 Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) delivering AIR6502 components via FMS contracts
• Oversee the establishment of Systems Engineering plans, System Integration, Test plans and System Verification, Validation and Certification plans
• Ensure E&T teams feed the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) which closes on critical program milestones based on a sound technical solution
• Direct the E&T team in new problem solution areas and prioritize problems for investigation based on the Chief Engineer's stated priorities
• Ensure program risks are appropriately captured and recommend mitigation strategies for Chief Engineer approval
• Ensure C6ISR team and IPT alignment with the requirements, scope and technical baseline and support/drive any modification through the change process
Basic Qualifications
• Previous experience with international programs
• Previous C4ISR and Integrated Warfare Systems and Sensors (IWSS) domain knowledge & experience especially in the area of Command & Control, Air Battle Management, Weapon/Combat System, and Air & Missile Defense Systems
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to communicate well with peers and different levels of leadership, including executive leadership
• Proven understanding and application of Systems Engineering principles to system design, integration, test, verification/validation, certification planning & certification execution
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally, as needed
• Active DoD SECRET Clearance
Desired skills
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear guidance and direction to team and prioritizing competing requirements
• Experience contributing to a Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) team
• Previous experience working either AIR650X programs or an Australian International Programs
• Previous experience working a FMS program
• Experience with International Trade Compliance (ITC) and implementing Export Control rules
• Capture experience, including Request for Information (RFI) responses, proposal development, and associated customer meetings

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $115,500 - $217,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
