This position is in-office based in our Houston, TX (77032) office location..
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with agent partners and Station Operations Team to support Air/Ocean Export requests, including handling day to day operations, customer service inquires and communications pertaining to Air Exports
- Tracking shipment statuses, updates, maintaining KPI’s, data compliance, and auto rating requirements
- Completing accurate and timely customer invoicing, cost confirmations, process vendor payments, etc.
- Quoting customers and agents -- and negotiating costs with vendors and suppliers
- Issue, Receive/Review documents, Bills of Lading, MAWB, HAWB, SLI
- Proactively and aggressively resolve logistics and transportation issues with a customer-centered focus
- Data entry of client shipment detail and update of shipment milestones
- Actively communicate with customers to ensure 100% satisfaction and full visibility of shipment status through leveraging status reports
- File Partner Government Agency (PGA) data sets (FDA, F&W, etc.) including FDA Prior Notice
- Maintain customer confidentiality where applicable
Key Requirements:
- 2+ years relevant Freight Forwarding (including Air), logistics, transportation, and domestic distribution experience
- Cargowise experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Ability to handle multiple shipments and accounts at a time
Nice to Haves:
- TSA Certified
- DG and Hazmat certified/trained
- EDI Certified
- CTPAT Trained
