Responsibilities: The Role
As an AI/HPC Infrastructure Technical Writer, you will be instrumental in shaping the documentation that supports our state-of-the-art AI/ML training and inferencing systems. You will craft white-papers, presentations, and generate test data to facilitate discussions on network performance with partners and customers, provide configuration settings for systems, and support clients in their cluster scale-out efforts.

We’re looking for a Technical Writer with a strong sense of accountability, ownership, and pride in delivering high-quality documentation, a collaborative spirit, with an emphasis on information sharing and horizontal team collaboration and with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive white-papers, technical documentation, and presentations that explain complex technical concepts in a clear, concise manner.
- Generate and organize test data for benchmarking reports to support network performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver configuration settings for systems, NICs, and switches, ensuring seamless installation processes.
- Contribute to the creation of Cluster Architecture Design materials for AMD AI/HPC Cluster products and provide support to customers during their cluster scaling processes.
- Specific Responsibilities of This Position Include:
- Manage and contribute to the team's knowledge base, utilizing Confluence Wiki and other collaborative platforms.
- Engage with technical staff to document standard operating procedures, coding styles, and best practices for software development.
- Mentor team members on technical writing best practices and presentation skills.
- Ensure all documentation is up to date with the latest specifications and standards.
- Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience with technical writing, particularly within the AI/HPC infrastructure domain.
- Strong proficiency in Text Editors, LaTeX, Sphinx, and Jupyter Notebooks for creating and managing documentation.
- Familiarity with network topologies and visualization, as well as a solid understanding of system profiling and performance analysis.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly documents, white-papers, and presentations.
Preferred Experience
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of scripting and programming with a focus on Python and Bash, and familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of data interchange formats such as CSV, and experience with data visualization using tools like Matplotlib and Numpy libraries.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies, and the ability to adapt to various software development life cycles.
Academic Credentials
Bachelors or Masters degree in related field
