Agriculture Technology Specialist

The Agriculture Technology Specialist is an integral part of the individual retail location. An Agriculture Technology Specialist is responsible for organizing, tracking, and assisting with the location’s technology and mapping needs for Liqui-Grow. This will be a mapping-heavy position where you will be altering and creating new prescription maps, variable rate maps, and ExactStrip maps. Many of the tasks would require the use of Ag Leader SMS. The Technology Specialist would interact with Liqui-Grow’s customer base, assisting the customers with their technology and exporting data that the location needs.

Expectations

• Participate in all training activities to gain knowledge of the sales products and the benefits to the farmer by their use.
• Ability to operate field monitors within tractors and access the information you are looking for.
• Ability to learn/know Ag Leader’s SMS product.
• Ability to learn and teach others about new Agriculture Technology entering the marketplace.
• Assisting sales associates with technology and mapping needs. Ability to understand and communicate what those needs are and what might be needed.
• Ensure that the application equipment has the correct information to apply accurately as needed.
• Keep the manager and team fully informed of all activities.

Requirements

• Knowing any form of GIS is helpful but is not required

• Must pass a pre-drug test
• Must have a safe driving record
• Experience with agriculture Field Monitors
