The incumbent serves as an Agricultural Marketing Specialist within the hemp program and is responsible for implementing and administering all aspects of the AMS hemp program regulations with responsibility for policy development and revision, licensing, and compliance for the Hemp Branch.
This is a remote position that must be located within the locations listed. The duty station is the selectee's home and must be established within the defined geographic area.Qualifications: Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
FOR THE GS-09 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-07 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:
- Experience coordinating licensing, record keeping, sampling, testing and agricultural growing requirements.
- Experience using virtual meeting software, email to arrange and secure and inspection appointments in support of the agricultural inspection team.
- Experience providing support for agricultural presentations on rules and guidance.
Note: Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for this grade level.
FOR THE GS-11 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-09 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:
- Experience coordinating and supporting audits, inspections of agricultural programs for compliance with regulations.
- Experience using good judgment in interpreting agricultural guidelines and policies during field or desk inspections.
- Experience enforcing provisions of laws and regulations designed to regulate agricultural production.

FOR THE GS-12 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-11 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:
- Experience advising on topics related to agricultural production, policies and regulations.
- Experience using techniques to gather information related to agricultural enforcement.
- Experience providing agricultural presentations on rules and guidance.
TRANSCRIPTS are required if:

- This education must have been successfully completed and obtained from an accredited school, college, or university
