The Scale Operator is primarily responsible for accurately weighing and ticketing trucks entering and leaving the aggregate yard. The Scale Operator also confirms orders with dispatch answers customer questions and interacts with haulers and plant employees.

Compensation
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Provides information and directs drivers.
- Requires heavy contact with dispatch.
- Performs data entry, general scale tickets, record keeping and reporting.
- Maintains a clean, functional and organized work office/scale house.
Education
High school diploma/GED
Requirements/Qualifications
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must have accurate data entry.
- Physical demands: stand, walk, sit, climb, bend, stoop, kneel and crawl; able to lift or move 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous weigh master and customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of aggregate products a plus.
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
