At Desert Aggregates we are always looking for future team members with a great work ethic and friendly attitude to join our team. Our Loader Operators are responsible for the loading of raw material into haul trucks and processing plants, and the stockpiling and loading of finished products into semi-trucks. Along with these duties, our operators are expected to help maintain roadways, and assist in the general clean-up and appearance of our yard. Job Responsibilities:
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating a front-end loader.
- Experience in the sand and gravel industry preferred.
- Safely transport and load aggregate materials using a front-end loader.
- Efficiently load materials into the hopper of processing plants.
- Direct haulers to the appropriate aggregate piles and load out sites.
- Maintain yard and fuel areas in accordance with company procedures.
- Inspect and clean the loader each day.
- Must be able to work up to 6 days a week, with various schedule times.
- Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and Company regulations.
- Wear all PPE (Approved hard hat, vest, safety glasses Z87 approved, Gloves for approved job task, Long Pants, Short/Long Sleeved Shirt, Safety Toed Boots.
- Understanding of environment/surroundings for key purpose of proper use and requirements of PPE (E.G. Ear Plugs, Rubber Gloves around corrosive materials).
- Understanding Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
- Coordinates with skilled tradesman and/or assigned supervisor(s) to complete projects and work orders Safe and Efficiently.
- Employee must fill out all required paperwork.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop or crouch. The employee is required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
