Agent in Charge

The Dispensary in Champaign, Illinois is opening soon! The Dispensary is a licensed Illinois cannabis dispensary and has multiple locations in Illinois including Fulton and East Dubuque, IL. As we gear up for our grand opening in Champaign, IL, we’re excited to build a dynamic team of individuals that are passionate about cannabis and making a difference in our customers' lives.

We are looking for qualified applicants to serve as Agent in Charge in Champaign, Illinois. The Agent in Charge is responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience, opening and closing duties, inventory management, delivery receiving, daily operations, and other general retail activities associated with a cannabis dispensary sales.

Full-Time positions are available Monday through Saturday between 9AM and 8PM and Sundays from 9AM-2PM. Employment will include an initial training and probationary period.

Applicants should be 21 years of age or older.

Applicants should have a background in retail sales and experience managing small or large teams. Please include information regarding retail sales experience, inventory management, working a cash register, cash handling, personnel management, human resource experience, bookkeeping experience, computer skills including POS/inventory tracking software. Applicants should have a general familiarity with computers which should include word processing, email, and printing/scanning of files and documents. Cannabis specific experience is applicable. Management experience is required.

Applicants should be friendly and courteous. This position will require a high level of customer service, organizational skills, multitasking and often will involve dealing with persons suffering from pain or other symptoms, looking to find relief. Patience, professionalism, confidentiality, and understanding when dealing with everyone is of the greatest importance.

All applicants are required to undergo an FBI background check and fingerprinting through the state of Illinois, as required by state law. No individual is allowed to work in a licensed cannabis facility prior to undergoing a background check, being fingerprinted, and receiving their cannabis dispensary agent card from the State of Illinois.

Additional knowledge of cannabis varieties, products, treatment options regarding various ailments, patient confidentiality (HIPAA), and the state program (Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act 410 ILCS 705, IDPH Title 77 IL Adm. Code 946, IDFPR Title 68 IL Adm. Code 1290) is encouraged. All employees are required to undergo an orientation and training period.
