Aerospace Thermal Protection System Technician I,II, & III – (On-Site)
NEED TO BE ABLE TO WORK: A SHIFT (M-F 5:30am start), B SHIFT (M-F Afternoons), & C SHIFT (Weekends Mornings).

We are seeking a highly motivated Aerospace Technician to collaborate with our client Blue Origin. This function includes participating and collaboratively working with the Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all facilities.
As part of a diverse and hardworking team of technicians, you will build launch vehicles, spacecraft, and launch facility systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of and responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and supporting hardware testing that meets the program requirements.
This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Building a variety of different components and assemblies and often rapidly shift focus from project to project, requiring a flexible mentality and adaptable skills.
- Assemble and process components of the rocket to aerospace standards.
- Plan and communicate assembly steps for complex mechanical installations.
- Often assisting with new designs; working directly with engineering to resolve issues, develop standard processes and to vet new designs for improvement opportunities prior to production.
- Give feedback on new assemblies, identifying needed improvements to existing designs and improving or updating outdated designs.
- Working in a team environment with multiple and rapidly changing priorities.
- Serve a variety of internal and external customers, across multiple systems and multiple platforms and each Technician is a valued part of the chain that supports safe human spaceflight.
- A focus on safety, collaboration and quality allows us to work together to figure out the best path forward, balancing speed and safety to create high quality components that will propel future astronauts and payloads into space for the improvement of humankind.
- Familiarity with Aerospace Mechanical, Flight Controls, APU, Hydraulic and Fuel Systems is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
- ESD process, controls, and certification experience.
- Capability to use standard electronics tools, soldering, wire harness manufacturing/repair, electronic test equipment, basic fabrication shop equipment.
- 3 years’ experience in Aerospace Avionics or related fields.
- Attention to detail and passion for space.
- Basic hand tool experience such as, torque wrenches, screw drivers, and crimpers.
- Experience working with mechanical structures.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work a 40-hr. work week (4x10’s) with occasional overtime to support launch schedules.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and chip into a culture of inclusivity.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Aerospace or related fields in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly, vehicle integration, testing and processing.
- Experience in staking and conformal coating.
- Experience with power systems and high voltage systems.
- Certification in and/or Knowledge of IPC standards for assembly and inspection.
- Experience and capability to work with software systems such as Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: $38.50 - $60.00 per hour
