Job Description
We are seeking an Aerospace Quality Inspector to join our team!
Functions and Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:• AS9100/ISO9001/Nadcap: Maintain quality standards
• Maintain Customer quality standards
• Incoming Inspection: Inspect incoming materials & parts returning from special processing suppliers by confirming requirements conform to specifications by means of visual and mechanical tools.
• 1st Piece Inspection: Communicate with supervisors & operators results of 1st Piece Inspection
• In-Process Inspection: Using AQL C=0 Sample Plan or 100%, perform lot sampling inspection for lot acceptance by confirming sample(s) meets drawing specifications. Identify & segregate product non-conformances for disposition by MRB.
• Tollgate Inspection: In-process inspection of each production operation to perform documentation audit for completeness prior to release of job to subsequent production operations
• Final Inspection: Finished products prior to release to packaging. Inspect finished products by confirming parts are in conformance to all drawing characteristics & specifications
• First Article Inspection: Complete 1st Article Inspection Reports per AS9102 as required by customer
• Records: Document inspection results on approved forms for compliance with the STD QMS for AS9100/ISO 9001 by completing inspection reports and logs; summarize inspection results on traveler; inputting data into quality database as required.
• Opportunities For Improvements: (OFI) Communicate OFI's with management, engineering & production employees through the investigation of internal and customer rejections.
• Calibration: Perform calibration of Measuring & Test Equipment IAW company procedures. Insure measurement & test equipment is within calibration & operating properly; calling for calibration & repair as needed.
• Safety: Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• Knowledge of AGMA gear tolerancing & inspection preferred but will train the right candidate.
• Thorough working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing as applied to machined products.
• Must be proficient with Optical Comparator, Dial Bore gages, Micrometers, Profilometer, Verniers, Dial indicators, Dual Flank Composite Gear Testers & other related mechanical measuring tools commonly used to inspect high precision machined components & gears used in the aerospace industry.
• CMM Programming experience preferred
• NDT experience would be a definite asset.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
US Citizenship Required
Satisfactory physical and drug test results required

Pay dependent upon knowledge & experience - Pay range is negotiable
