- DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- The Advance Practice Provider - Supervisor will lead, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of the pre-anesthesia department with respect to work related to specialty services in conjunction with attending surgeons, anesthesia and surgeon’s offices. He/she will work to promote the services and help to guide its strategic direction in concert with the Chair of anesthesia and Medical Director of pre-anesthesia services. The supervisor will have oversight of the PAS department related to administrative and clinical matters.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience:
- One year of surgical experience required.
- Previous department leadership experience preferred.
- ED and ICU experience required.
- Three or more years of experience in a high acuity fast paced workflow such as the OR, ED, ICU required.
- Education and Training:
- Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program Masters Degree of Science or other Healthcare related Masters degree required.
- NP APP's - DNP required.
- License, Certification & Registration:
- Licensed as a PA or NP in Massachusetts.
- Other Requirements:
- Credentialed by the Medical Staff as per medical staff process for Allied Health Professionals.
- Must be certified in CPR ACLS and ATLS required.
