We are looking for a full-time Level 2 Counselor position in our Adult Services Program. Under the supervision of the team coordinator(s) and Program Specialist, the Level 2 Counselor is responsible for the direct care, ABA therapy of consumers in the community or vocational site and/or residence. This includes knowledge and implementation of consumers’ clinical, educational, vocational, and daily living skills objectives. The goal of maximizing independence serves as the foundation of all Center programs. Each program has been developed to address varying skills and multiple levels of functioning. Training is provided!

Responsibilities:
- Thorough knowledge and competent implementation of all consumer educational programs and behavior management guidelines in residence, community, and vocational settings.
- Ensure consumers’ safety and implement all safety guidelines
- Record and compile all necessary behavioral and educational research data accurately and in a timely fashion
- Demonstrate principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Counselors may be assigned case management responsibilities for one or more clients on their designated team or other team related role.
- Assist with residential duties/chores including laundry, cleaning, dishes, cooking, etc. in conjunction with clients’ activities of daily living and to ensure general maintenance of residential homes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, consideration for individuals pursuing associate’s or bachelor’s degree
- Strong interest in working with special needs populations, particularly autism.
- Driver’s license required
- Access to a personal vehicle or reliable transportation required.
- Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR certification (child, adult, and AED) or CPR training completion through NECC within 6 months of employment.
- Successful completion of NECC required trainings, including CALM. CALM safety training: Physical requirements of the job include extensive movement to provide physical intervention in response to challenging behavior
