Admissions & Collections Clerk - Clinical Scheduling

The County of Riverside's University Health System-Medical Center is seeking a regular Admissions & Collection Clerk to join their team. The incumbent will be responsible for answering incoming calls, interviewing callers to determine needs, transferring calls to the appropriate department when needed, interviewing the patient when they call and determining their needs, scheduling an appointment(s) in a primary care or specialty care clinic, gathering all pre-registration information, verifying insurance eligibility and/or verifying if there is a valid referral and authorization; performing specialized clerical work which includes: checking in and registering patients, verifying insurances, scheduling and confirming appointments, collecting payments and cash reconciliation, answering phones and patient questions; and performs other related duties as required. This position is located in Moreno Valley.
The most competitive candidates will have the following professional experience and knowledge:

• Bilingual
• Professional experience in the medical field and/or in a medical office
• Professional knowledge of Epic

These positions has a 5/40 schedule, from 8:00am - 4:30pm.
