OUR COMMUNITY:
We specialize in short term rehabilitation(physical, occupational, and speech therapy) and nursing needs such as wound care, IV antibiotics, post op, gtubes, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Responding to inquiries from potential residents or their families regarding the admission process.
- Providing information about the services, amenities, and policies of the Nursing Home/skilled nursing facilities
- Assisting with the completion of admission paperwork, ensuring that all required documents are properly filled out and filed.
- Verifying and collecting necessary information such as medical records, insurance details, and personal identification.
- Coordinating resident assessments with the nursing and medical staff to determine the level of care needed.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to gather relevant medical information for the assessment process.
- Discussing financial aspects of admission, including fees, payment options, and insurance coverage.
- Conducting tours of the facility for potential residents and their families.
- Orienting new residents to the Nursing Home environment, policies, and available services.
- Serving as a liaison between the Nursing Home administration, healthcare professionals, and the resident's family.
- Keeping all parties informed about the progress of the admission process.
- Collaborating with the Nursing Home staff to plan for the arrival of new residents, ensuring that necessary accommodations and resources are in place.
- Ensuring that all aspects of the admission process comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Following up with residents and their families after admission to address any concerns or questions.
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for residents and their families.
Effective communication, organizational skills, empathy, and knowledge of relevant regulations are essential qualities for an admission assistant in a Nursing Home. Additionally, staying updated on healthcare industry trends and changes in regulations can contribute to success in this role.
