Admissions Assistant/Front Desk Representative

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of nursing and allied healthcare programs such as; Vocational Nurse, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound Technology), Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, Medical Imaging, RN Nursing Program (RN to BSN Pathway) Psychiatric Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, Nurse Assistant and Dental Assistant.

We are currently seeking a Full-timeAdmissions Assistant/Front Desk Representative at our Van Nuys, CA campus.

Basic Function
The Admissions Assistant/Front Desk Representative (AAFDR) supports the Admissions Manager, Advisors and Admissions Department administratively and actively in the admissions process of enrollment. Will act as the first point of contact at the front desk greeting visitors, staff and instructors to the campus. The AAFDR will aid in reviewing and confirming applicant requirements and background information provided. In addition to supporting the admissions activities, the AAFDR is the initial interface for potential students and is important to the overall image of the campus (professionalism, credibility, etc.)

Essential Job Duties:

• Act as the first point of contact at the front desk greeting visitors, staff and instructors to the campus friendly,
• professionally and in an efficient manner
• Set appointments and tours with prospective students and lead tours when requested by the manager
• Receive calls from people interested in Gurnick programs and inform them of minimum entrance requirements for
• the program
• Call all enrolled students to verify if they will still be attending pre-requisites and core program (inform Admissions
• Advisor and Director if anyone is dropping to replace the candidate if possible)
• Assist Admissions in the calling of outgoing calls to leads and prospective students
• Other assigned duties as required by their direct manager

Requirements

• Associate Degree Preferred
• Admissions Experience of support preferred
• Recruitment, interviewing and selection skills and experience a plus
• Front Desk experience preferred
• Experience with Google Suite; Docs, Sheets, Forms, Etc.
• Excellent time management, detail-orientation and team player skills

Hourly Range, Full-Time: $19.00-$21.00

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
