Administrative Facilities Supervisor

Position Overview

Join Navistar's dynamic team as an Administrative Facilities Supervisorin Lisle, IL. This role goes beyond traditional desk responsibilities, offering an exciting opportunity to oversee and address facility-related challenges across our extensive campus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong administrative capabilities while actively engaging in on-site inspections, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring the smooth operation of various facility systems.

 

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a commitment to safety by adhering to safety guidelines, utilizing proper safety equipment, and overseeing the implementation of PPE.
• Receive, prioritize, and manage work order assignments efficiently.
• Collaborate with and supervise contractors, ensuring high-quality work performance in line with company standards.
• Operate and conduct regular safety inspections of the facility's security and fire systems, addressing any identified issues promptly.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of shipping and receiving processes within the facility's operations.
• Coordinate and schedule contractors for necessary facility maintenance or improvements.
• Provide guidance and direction to junior employees, ensuring tasks are completed in accordance with established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
• Emphasize mentoring, coaching, and coordination efforts to foster a cohesive team environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 3 years of facilities or administration experience

OR

• Master's degree
• At least 1 year of facilities or administration experience

OR

• At least 5 years of facilities or administration experience

Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

Proven experience in an administrative role with a focus on facilities management or related field. Familiarity with safety protocols, equipment, and procedures. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage work orders and contractor activities effectively. Proficiency in overseeing facility security and fire systems. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with contractors and internal teams. Ability to mentor and guide junior staff to achieve collective goals. Flexibility to travel within the campus to address facility-related issues.
