Global Autoimmune Institute (GAI) is looking for a highly organized and experienced individual to join our team as an Administrative Coordinator. This position will provide back-end organizational support and report exclusively to the Executive Director.
The ideal candidate must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to perform both internal and external communications, as well as high-level administrative and organizational skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the Executive Director’s calendar (scheduling appointments, reminders, and correspondence on behalf of the Executive Director)
- Supporting the Executive Director with external communications
- Organizing documents
- Communicating with the Foundation’s bookkeeper
- Assisting with events and meetings
- Assisting with other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; experience in the non-profit sector is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask, be flexible and take initiative
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Google Suite
- Motivated to propel the goals and mission of GAI forward
This role is part time, and will include working remotely and in-person with the Executive Director at Global Autoimmune Institute’s office in McLean, Virginia, five days a week.
This position will be paid on an hourly basis and compensation will vary depending on the candidate’s prior work experience, academic background, and skill sets.
Successful candidates will meet the aforementioned qualifications. Opportunities for advancement will include full-time employment status.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
