Landry's Restaurants is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an entry level Human Resources Administrative Assistant position for the Kemah Human Resources Office.
- Maintain and file employee records.
- Sort and distribute office mail.
- Update HR databases (including new hires, separations, vacation and sick leaves).
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data.
- Review new-hire paperwork for HR policies and procedures.
- Process employees' requests and provide relevant information.
- Answer the office phone line and address employee and candidate queries accordingly.
- Engage with walk-in employees and candidates and assist them appropriately.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal communications.
- Ensure that the applicant area is organized and applications are available to interested candidates. Also responsible for HR and employee documentation to be printed and accessible.
- Conduct routine I-9 and file audits to comply with state and federal regulations.
Strong organizational and communication skills are needed to be successful in this position. Computer proficiency in Word and Excel required. Candidates with previous human resources and customer service will receive preferred consideration for this excellent opportunity. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Must be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
