Role will be hybrid, 2 days per week onsite
Candidates must be local to Akron, OH
Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of technical administrative assignments requiring excellent organization, initiative, judgment and communication skills
Responsible for timely processing of incoming invoices from multiple vendors, including Railroad companies and State and Federal Agencies; acting as point of contact with these entities.
Maintain database of prior and outstanding payments and run periodic reports to provide Department Management.
Monitors Real Estate Work Request In-box and route messages to Department staff.
Supports team members with routine day-to-day and administrative activities including timekeeping, creating and maintaining traditional and electronic files and records, distributing mail, answering telephone calls, processing requisitions, expense statements and invoices, and maintaining office supply inventory and processing facilities requests for the Department
Handles general SAP administrative work
Performs research and compiles and data for projects and reports
Takes initiative to solve problems and bring issues to closure
Demonstrates a willingness to question established procedures and processes
Demonstrates a solid commitment to all aspects of safety
Provides sound internal and external customer service and responds in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 1-3 years work experience required
Prior work experience in an administrative support role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). SAP experience a plus.
Ability to follow established procedures and instructions, and produce high quality work products in a thorough, timely and accurate manner
Demonstrates a questioning attitude and experience making recommendations for process improvements when appropriate
Demonstrates ability to model active learning through continuing to develop knowledge, skills and perspective
