Whether we are serving guests, a fellow team member, or a trucking company, we are dedicated to fueling people and keeping North America moving.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or local law.Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to investigate and resolve incidents of workers’ compensation claims presenting exposure to the company.Essential FunctionsInvestigate incidents presenting exposure to the companyManage, document, analyze, negotiate, and settle claims for resolutionManage and control claim related documentation including Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) related informationManage litigation to obtain favorable outcome and resolutionCollaborate with defense counsel on litigation closure strategyInvestigate, evaluate, and resolve Medical Only and/or Lost Time Employee Injury claims with independent settlement authorityMonitor third-party administrator (TPA) to ensure claims are processed efficientlyProvide reserve recommendation to PFJ corporate management for cases processed by TPA and applicable in-house claimsFocus on loss prevention and hazard correction during claim handlingResolve conflicts with claims in collaboration with senior or more tenured adjusterModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent certification requiredBachelor’s degree in business or related field preferredMinimum three years’ experience in related work experience preferredIntermediate Microsoft Office skillsStrong conflict resolution and problem solving skillsProfessional demeanor when communicating in person, email, or phoneAbility to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independentlyAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExceptional negotiation skillsStrong attention to detailAdditional Information#LI-CH132175
