Auto Adjuster (Resident)
$19.25 - $28.04 / hour
Job Level: Individual Contributor
What You Will Be Doing:
Investigate, analyze, evaluate and settle insurance claims involving automobile material damage losses. Determine value of a claim and negotiate settlements within prescribed limits of authority, in accordance with established procedures and consistent with legal and contractual obligations. May be assigned duties with regard to catastrophe teams and branch catastrophes for auto losses. Due to the duties and responsibilities of this position, a Credit Bureau Report, Motor Vehicle Report, and Criminal Background check may be ordered on final candidates.
This is a position where the adjuster works from home, living in and servicing Middle Tennessee and the surrounding areas. The adjuster must live in the area to provide the level of customer service expected. Home office equipment and company vehicle provided.

- Investigative, analytical, organizational and decision-making skills
- Capacity to completely inspect automobiles physically and visually
- Superior skills in negotiation, communication and customer service
- Ability to learn through on-the-job training/training courses and obtain multi state licensing
- Strong skills in technology
- Efficient in time management to maintain schedules and deadlines
- Must possess a valid driver’s license supported by a good driving history
- Advanced knowledge of automobile repair desired
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
