Job Posting Summary
The Veterinary Technology Program is seeking Adjunct Faculty for the upcoming academic term with a special interest in teaching applied clinical nursing with teaching responsibilities including laboratories and practicums. An Adjunct Faculty member is directly responsible and accountable for fulfillment of program learning outcomes as well as ensuring compliance with the AVMA-CVTEA accreditation standards. Appointments are renewed based on Program needs and teaching performance.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
  • At least two years of clinical experience in small animal medicine required. Teaching experience in a Veterinary Technology program is preferred.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • LVT with BS in Veterinary Technology and current New York license; Master's degree in a basic medical science or VTS preferred; or DVM with current New York State license.
Physical/Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per University policies
Compensation is based on a semester and calculated on a semi-monthly pay cycle.
Mercy University promotes a community campus environment. As a result, employment is limited to the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Florida (remote employees only). Applicants outside of those states or the USA will be required to relocate. Relocation assistance may be provided for eligible moves.
