Description:Hofstra University’s Department of Fine Arts, Design, Art History is seeking Adjunct Faculty to teach Beginning Painting and Figure Drawing classes in Fall of 2024. The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
- Teaching all levels of painting and drawing (including figure drawing)
- Knowledge of structural drawing concepts
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of oil painting
- Working in creative higher educational environments
- Knowledge of historical and contemporary art practices, as well as a thorough understanding of technical, critical, and theoretical issues of painting
- A Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in a related field
- Experience teaching at the college level
- Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusive in an educational environment.
