This Adjunct Faculty member provides Instruction primarily in the Endoscopy Technicial Program and other related areas given appropiate credentials.
Courses may be taught in an array of teaching modalities: MDC In-Person, MDC Live (Learning Interactively in a Virtual Environment), MDC Online (online delivery) and Blended Classes.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teaches in lecture and laboratory settings
- Plan and organizes instructional materials to meet course objectives
- Evaluates and advises students
- Develops curricula
- Recruits students
- Participates in departmental and College affairs
- Serves on committees
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a Health Care related field; or Associate’s degree; and Certificate in Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (GI SCOPE) (CFER) from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD); and Two (2) years of full-time work experience as an Endoscopy Technician.
- All educational degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
- Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
- Ability to work flexible schedule which may include morning, evening and weekend assignments
- Must be able to travel between campuses, clinical sites and off-campus offering sites
