Description
The IT Manager is responsible for the operation, maintenance and support of the media distribution systems, classroom technology, chapel, podcast, conference rooms, events, and all IT infrastructure - including planning, leadership, coordination, and overall management of the use of IT Services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a collaborative and service-oriented information services environment.
- Assist the development of IT policies and procedures.
- Supervise student staffing who are responsible for help desk monitoring, media support, and other IT services.
- Coordinate services provided to McCormick Seminary based on fee for service agreements. (Shared services JKM & LRWC and Emergency Notification System-RAVE).
- Supervise and maintain integrity of administrative applications information system through Onboarding and Offboarding processes and yearly audits.
- Provide support for Cloud Hosting (Office 365/Azure/SharePoint and/or AWS) experience and servers (Windows Focus) including virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, cloud).
- Provide on campus Technical Services and User Support.
- Manage and track helpdesk support requests when necessary.
- Provide authentication for telephone support for faculty and staff.
- Serve as the primary liaison to third-party IT support (weekly meetings tactical and strategic).
- Oversee classroom and media support.
- Support educational technology operations such as repair/maintenance of classroom equipment and media distribution systems.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of phone systems.
- Initiate repairs to maintain optimum system operations.
- Oversee scheduling, delivery, and operation of media equipment upon employee requests.
- Maintain inventory of media supplies and equipment.
- Provide authentication services for all hosted software including, Raiser's Edge, Financial Edge, Blackbaud Education Management, Outlook 365 and Webmail.
- Purchase, replace and set up computers and accessories.
- Submit expense and billing invoices to Finance for all IT related service contracts.
- Advise on purchase of software to ensure secure environment.
- Oversee reporting and testing for all Wi-fi services on campus and in resident housing.
- Provide off hours email monitoring and emergency contact for IT related issues.
- Provide online technology resources for Students, Faculty and Staff.
- Support annual audit relating to authentication and security.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years' experience in one of the following areas: administrative computing, academic computing, local area networks, server and client technologies or administrative applications.
- Windows 7-10 experience required, because that is what most of clients use.
- Chromebook and Apple macOS is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage, along with good documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with consumers of information services.
- Knowledge of video/data/optical projection, audio, presentation, and other related media technologies.
- Experience with Windows operating systems and working knowledge of MS Office.
- Knowledge of Zoom phone system.
Strongly Preferred skills that will put you top of our list!
- Industry certifications around Infrastructure (MCP, CCNA, A+, N+, Security+).
- ConnectWise Manage and/or Automate (LabTach) experience.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred. Degree in information systems or experience in related field preferred.
