Adjunct Faculty members teach courses to students pursuing a broad range of Associate in Arts, or Associate in Science degrees.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
- Evaluates and advises students
- Participates in departmental and College affairs
- Develops curricula
- Recruits students
- Serves on committees
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Master's degree in Education or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Early Childhood Education; and, one year or more of experience in a child care setting serving children birth through 8 years old
- Possess excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
- Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
- Ability to communicate effectively with students of widely ranging skills
- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
Preferences
- Doctorate in Early Childhood Education or Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Early Childhood Education
